About Teplý vrch

Teplý Vrch is a village in Slovakia, in the Rimavská Sobota district.
The Teplý Vrch water reservoir, which was built on the Blh river, has the highest average summer water temperatures in Slovakia for a long time. Its water heats up to 28-30 °C in summer. Thanks to this, the area around the village has become a sought-after recreational location. Pebble-sand beaches, locations intended for sports, refreshment
stalls await visitors here, but fishermen will also enjoy themselves. There is also a camping area. Teplý Vrch campsite offers ideal conditions for several days of recreation by the water. You can stay in tents or caravans.
Currently, two beaches are used for summer recreation on Teplý Vrch. One is near the Drieňok recreation center on the southwest bank and the other on the east bank. The western side of the reservoir is used for fishing. In the Teplý Vrch man-made lake area, you can rent a boat, water bike or paddleboards. The swimming season lasts from mid-June to mid-September, and the water reservoir reaches a depth of up to 14 m. Paddleboard rental time is daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Currently, Teplý Vrch is one of the sought-after recreational locations in the Gemer-Malohont region.
